Can we save her?

The talons of a new Evil
Sink mightily into our Earth.
She heaves frighteningly,
Lurches with her flailing breath.
She quakes — the fear persists.
Fiery vapors of the enemy
Fumigate the air
Melting stability, conquer land.
The blazing fire rolls on,
Detonating our safety.
We perspire uneasily,
Soaking in the sweat of Sin.
Do we hear it?
The ice explodes, the water boils.
Can we save her?
Skin shines bright — slick and crisp.
Crackling heat,
Humid air,
Stranded on land,
Beware.
