30 questions answered

I’ve been struggling through some crippling insecurities lately, always made manifest when my school-churning brain is ‘at rest.’ So, inspired by a fellow Bobcat bloggerI decided this morning to interject body/self positivity into the universe with the following questionnaire.

How well could you answer these questions about yourself?

  1. When I wake up in the morning, how do I most want to feel? Refreshed and rejuvenated to tackle another day
  2. What does my ideal day look like from morning to night? Waking up to a sunrise, birds chirping, and coffee; going out on a hike in the woods; watching some really cool TED talks; having lunch with a friend; reading a really good book; yoga/meditation time; cooking something yummy; spending time with my brother/family
  3. What do I need more of in my life? Body positivity and outdoor wanderings
  4. What do I need to let go of? My crippling doubt and insecurity about my body/my self
  5. What beliefs are holding me back from living my dream life? My belief in perfection and all-knowingness
  6. What does success mean to me? Feeling proud of myself
  7. What is the message that I want to share with the world? Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Know yours
  8. What brings me genuine joy? Laughing, especially with my brother
  9. What am I most grateful for right now? The ability for bodies to heal themselves
  10. What am I proud of myself for? Rising up, again and again, even though it would have been easier not to
  11. What do I most need to heal right now? My self-image
  12. What do I want my life to look like in three yearsIn 3 years? Discovering life in a new place, finding my way, calling old friends, backcountry traveling, maybe loving someone else
  13. What makes me feel truly alive? Walking in a forest, biking, and jumping off a diving board 🙂
  14. What do I most love about myself? My curiosity and penchant for environmental justice
  15. What makes me feel nourished on all levels (mind, body, and soul)? Yoga and dance
  16. What wild things would I love to try? Hiking the Appalachian Trail, freelancing, and living out of a backpack on a multi-country trek
  17. If I could make a living doing anything I wanted, what would I do? Being a National Geographic editor and/or photographer
  18. What do I need to forgive myself for? Putting my faith externally instead of internally
  19. What would I do if I wasn’t so afraid of failing? Pursue love
  20. What is my top goal right now? Get through this next semester without any injuries…
  21. If I could talk to my teenage self, what would I say? Don’t wish it all away
  22. What do I want my legacy to be? Every person counts. Be you, be unapologetically you, and know you play a part in this story of great environmental change
  23. How can I add more fun into my everyday life? Not working all the time, going out dancing, and quit taking myself so seriously
  24. How have I been getting in the way of achieving my goals? Doubting my ability to heal myself (physically, mentally, and emotionally)
  25. What makes me feel powerful and lit up? Getting a routine memorized in Zumba class!
  26. What do I need to stop doing to live a richer and happier life? Checking social media so often
  27. What am I afraid of? Rejection
  28. How do I add value to the world and those around me? Inspiring creativity and action
  29. How can I show myself more love? Treating “me time” as important as “work time”
  30. What desires do I need to surrender to the universe? My desires for perfection, control, and all-knowingness
